Shelly has been training animals since 1999. Her professional animal training career began as a marine mammal trainer at the Dolphin Research Center in Marathon, FL. She has also served as the marine mammal trainer at the Mystic Aquarium in Mystic, CT, and at the Minnesota Zoo in Minneapolis, MN.
In 2009, Shelly accepted the Training and Behavior Manager position at the Humane Society of Boulder, CO.
Shelly has been a Karen Pryor Academy Certified Training Partner (CTP) since June, 2010.
